Site Specific: The Commonwealth Commerce Center (CCC) Building is 400,000 square feet of prime office, technology, and call center space in Jackson, Michigan. CCC is the home of the Michigan Technology Development Center.
Footings are in place east of the building for an additional tower of 110,000 square feet.
The 3rd floor has been used by ALORICA and has a Plug N Play call center, which the client had 600 people. This office space for rent has all of the furniture for a call center (i.e. desks, chairs, cubicles, conference tables, etc.). This former call center space has a raised floor computer room and a break room with lockers.
The 4th floor suite in the Commonwealth Commerce Center (CCC) consists of 36,610 Rentable Square Feet with over 80,000 contiguous square feet available for expansion purposes. This space was originally built for the Consumers Energy Michigan Technology Development Center, to the highest specifications. The suite includes Steelcase furniture, with 207 large workstations, huddle rooms, training and conference rooms with large screen monitors, a large break room with it’s own kitchen and vending machines. The space has 4 card access entryways with 3 passenger elevators and a freight elevator. Two of the entrances have exposed wooden beams with a private elevator located at the north entrance. The private elevator has access to the planned work-out facility, which has showers, ping pong, and a full gym. The suite has its own handicap accessible restrooms and there are handicap accessible restrooms throughout the Commonwealth Commerce Center.
The facility has extensive bandwidth and IT capability and it was built as a technology center. The suite has its own climate controlled server room and every workstation and area is wired and labeled per the blueprint. Once the servers are installed, the space can be operational in a matter of days.
Please note that suite 450’s 207 workstations can be expanded to include suite 320, a Plug & Play Call Center with 336 work stations (Total 543 work stations) with generator backup. The Commonwealth Commerce Center will divide the office space as needed and work with the client to plan their future growth. First Right of Refusal on all space will be given to the client
The Commonwealth Commerce Center will provide each employee with a free membership to the CCC fitness center.
Optional Office Build-Out: The CCC will assist tenants in the options for design and build-out of the office space to suit their needs. CCC finance of the build-out, with repayment over the term of the lease can be negotiated. Attached is a drawing for future expansion of the building. Foundations for an expansion are in place. Sufficient grade parking exists to allow ramp construction, if necessary.
Other Amenities: In addtion to private office space for rent, the CCC has completed a dramatic six-story open-floor atrium located at the West entrance. Our atrium area includes a large common area with tables and chairs that can be used free of charge for lunch breaks and casual meetings by tenants. Existing and planned amenities include: The Atrium Cafe’, Commonwealth Vending Room, Great Lakes Graphics (a full service printing company), twenty-four hour ATM, fitness center and a hair salon. The CCC building has direct Internet access, which can be up to fifty times faster than conventional service. We have an on-site day care facility known as Little Rainbows. We also provide space for Michigan Works! Southeast. This State funded agency can help tenants find qualified employees for their business at no charge. There is a full service banquet facility and corporate meeting center at the CCC building.
Parking Availability: The CCC has approximately twelve hundred free parking spaces. Handicapped parking is available at every entrance. Parking for the building is adjacent to the proposed main entrances. The parking area is fenced and well lit, and was just redesigned and repaved in 2013.
System Capacity: The CCC has extensive telephone and Communication capacity and is located two blocks from Ameritech. Fiber optics is already in place, which gives us the capacity of thousands of telephone lines. Also available is direct, on-line internet access, which is fifty times faster than conventional service. T-1 lines have already been installed. Our extensive communications capacity is one of the main reasons other information-related businesses are leasing office space in the CCC.
Unique Features: Management is on-site along with our janitorial staff and maintenance and building crews for quick response to better service our tenants’ needs. Our security guard regularly checks the entire building and is on-site until 11:00 p.m. Our Honeywell computerized energy management system accurately controls the heating, cooling and ventilation systems to ensure maximum comfort for our tenants.
We have installed a modern LED lighting system that has a wider spectrum of natural light that accommodates modern office work much more effectively than older fluorescent fixtures.
There is also a backup generator onsite.
The CCC has a conference center available for meetings, luncheons, training sessions, and other corporate get-together. We can accommodate groups ranging in size from five to seven hundred.
Security Self-Storage is located within the CCC. It features self-storage units that are convenient and climate-controlled.
